Today, I won’t sugarcoat my life or pretend my marriage is perfect. The truth is, my marriage is a lie. For years, I’ve carried this burden, feeling trapped in a life that seems like a dead-end. Sometimes, the hopelessness is overwhelming, but I’ve decided to write it down, to let my story spill out like a dam breaking, flooding the page with everything I’ve kept inside.

It starts with today. After a week of chaotic family life, I needed a break—a breath of fresh air. There’s this bar by the water, with a fantastic view where people gather to watch the sunset. We sat at the bar, hadn’t even ordered our drinks yet, when I noticed her. A woman from the other side of the bar sauntered over and slid onto the stool next to my husband, Tom. She looked at him with an unmistakable glint in her eye, completely ignoring me as if I were invisible.

And that’s the thing—it happens every time we go out, whether it’s a bar, a restaurant, an event, or even just outdoors. Tom has wandering eyes, and he can’t help himself. I feel like the third wheel in his life, a ghost no one notices as his wife. Strange, right? But that’s the reality of my marriage. There’s so much more to tell…
